We currently have an opportunity at SGI Legal for a Costs Manager who will manage and support our in-house Costs Team, nurturing and developing their skills to drive team performance and efficiency.
The Costs Manager is responsible for supporting the Costs Team in the speedy collection of client damages in addition to ensuring costs are agreed through negotiation with the paying party without delay whilst maximising costs recovery.
Previous management experience essential
Up to date knowledge of CPR and current case law regarding both fixed and standard costs
Good technical skills in respect of costs drafting and negotiation
Enforcement experience desirable

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload to a high standard with importance placed on client care, service to recommenders and file management.
